BIO


Jon Lundberg is president of The Corporate Image Inc., a media and public relations firm headquartered in the Tri-Cities. Lundberg is also chief executive officer and general partner of Corporate Marketing Group, an award-winning marketing and advertising firm.

Prior to founding The Corporate Image, Lundberg had a successful career in broadcast news (most recently with WCYB TV5).  An award-winning broadcast journalist, he has been associated as lead anchor and managing editor with TV and radio stations in the Colorado cities of Colorado Springs, Vail and Aspen, in addition to Reno, Nev., Wichita, Kan., and Bristol, Virginia/Tennessee.

He received his bachelor’s in communications with an emphasis in radio and TV broadcasting from the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Colo.  He also attended graduate school at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.

His community involvement is extensive and includes service on several boards, and organizations including The Bristol Morning Rotary Club, Bristol Chamber of Commerce, Rocky Mount Living History Museum, Thomas Green Lecture Series, Tri-Cities Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and Symphony of the Mountains.  He also has been a member of the advisory board for the Neff Center for Science & Technology, the King College President’s Roundtable and the Tusculum College President’s Advisory Board.  Lundberg is also a 32nd Degree Mason.

Lundberg is also a Captain (sel) the U.S. Navy Reserve.  He is designated a Public Affairs Officer and is currently serving as director for the Navy Office of Information’s 7th Fleet in Dallas, Texas.   His previous tour was as an Action Officer (OASD-PA) for the Secretary of Defense in the Pentagon. He has served as Commanding Officer on four separate occasions, leading three units in Norfolk, Va., and one in Jacksonville, Fla.

Lundberg was elected to the 105th Tennessee General Assembly in 2006.  He represents the First Legislative District (Sullivan County) which includes the cities of Bristol and Kingsport.  He serves on the Judiciary and Commerce Committee, Utilities, Banking & Small Business Subcommittee and Civil Practice Subcommittee.  Lundberg distinguished himself during the first term authoring and introducing and co sponsoring legislation to strengthen education in K-12 and Tennessee higher education, reduce drunk driving, bring harsher penalties to sex offenders. He is a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council, National Council of State Legislatures and the Council of State Governments.

He is married to the former Lisa White of Bristol, Tenn., and the couple has a 16-year-old daughter, Samantha, and a 11-year-old son, Nelson. They attend Addilynn United Methodist Church.
